Thinking of You

morning all, last Weekend hubby and I had such an amazing weekend as our son got married near Louth not far from Lincoln, as that's where his lovely wife comes from. There actual wedding took place in Tattershall Castle what a beautiful place it is, they were brave enough to climb  all the steps to the top of the castle to have some of there wedding photo's taken, not me I don't have a good head for heights these days lol.  Now it's time for a new challenge over at Sparkles Monthly this month Cathy has chosen to go with Sympathy or Thinking of You. I have gone with Thinking of you and used a beautiful embossing folder from darcie not sure what they call it as it just came in a clear pkt and was a birthday gift from a friend. Oval and scalloped edge Die's  are from Tonic,  I inked a bit of the white oval shape with Shabby Shutters then stamped  a bit of Sky of fields . Then I die cut the beautiful Ragged Daisy in white then coloured the stem and leaves with Shabby Shutters distress ink , the petals  I did the same but I used Spun Sugar distress ink. I added a few sequins to finish off. I used a piece of waste card  I cut from stitched edges to stamp my sentiment on and coloured it with Shabby Shutters distress ink pad , the little flower I found in my craft box. We hope you will join in the fun with us at Sparkles Monthly as always we look forward to seeing your creation, pop over to the blog and see all the beautiful projects my teamies have made, I am sure you will find plenty of inspiration there.

                            Challenge 51 Butterflies

Well here we are again another 2 weeks has past and it's time for a new Challenge at Cardz 4 Galz,  it's my turn to chose the theme this time and I would love to see butterflies on your projects, everybody must love a butterfly, I have used a butterfly die from Tim holtz which I cut from some white card I had inked with my brushos then I  used the embossing folder that comes with the die to emboss my butterfly, the other butterflies are cut from a memory box die. I just added some little jewels. From the same brusho card I cut a rectangle yes that rectangle again lol,  and stamped the lovely sentiment from Inkylicious on, I mounted that onto some black card,  for my background I have used a embossing folder from Darcie which I inked with a green ink pad.  Before I put my piece of card in to emboss it, I don't know what they call the embossing folder as It was a present and it just came in a clear packet. I hope you will join us at
Cardz 4 Galz  As always we look really forward to seeing your creations, and you will find plenty of gorgeous inspiration from the rest of the DT .

Sew n Sew

Morning all, hope you all are enjoying this lovely weather. I can not believe where these weeks are going, I've had a migraine for the last two days, so last night I had A very early night,   but then about 11.30  I woke up with a jolt and remembered I hadn't scheduled my post, lol. It took me ages to do my post as the Internet kept going off and on, but hey I got there in the end.. For the next two weeks at  Cardz 4 Galz we have a new challenge for you and it's Sew and Sew  chosen by Caz, we would love to see your creations as always, so come on guys get your sewing stamps and dies out or anything else you have to do with sewing, we hope you will find inspiration from the DT to help you get started. I am not happy with my card, it took me ages to think what I can do and normally I love making sewing themed cards but I could not think of anything to make, I think it's this migraine,   I eventually used an  image from Flonz crafts called Vintage Retro which I stamped twice and paper pieced , I have had these stamps for years and this is the first time I have used them, now that's shocking,  the Taylor's dummy and ruler were free with the card making magazine years ago, I have used a rectangle die which i seem to be using a lot just recently that's from The Works, buttons and the little flower are out of my craft box, handmade by stamp was a present from a friend.

morning all hope everyone enjoyed the beautiful sunshine yesterday I was hoping summer had come at last. Today I would like to share a card with you that I made for our new challenge over at Sparkles Monthly which is Embossing (heat or Dry) chosen by Silvi. For my background I have used one of Sue Wilson embossing folders called Rose Bloom, Die's used are Maddison Square and Mosaic Leaves also from Sue Wilson. The sentiment  (Go Confidently)  is from friskers. which I embossed in gold embossing powder,  I had been playing with some New to me Honey Doo stamps and stamped them on parchment after watching a video on YouTube, my son is getting married next month and the bridesmaids are in lilac, so I thought I would have a go at making my own button hole, I was so pleased with the way they turned out, I showed them to my daughter-in-law to be and she love's them too, the smaller ones I added to my card here and added some diamant√©'s. Hope to see you over at Sparkles Monthly come and joy in with the fun we always look forward to seeing your beautiful creation's and as always you will find plenty of inspiration from the rest of the DT ..

What a beautiful day it's been, I have spent the day with my friend in the yorkshire dales, we didn't get to do much crafting,  but I did manage to make this card using the beautiful poppy stamp from Penny Black called  Blooming Garden. My friend has a die for the poppy which I really struggled with to cut out the poppy, I did manage to do it this one time but when I tried to cut some more out I could not get the die to line up with the stamped  image, Which I coloured with promarkers, I cut the aperture and frame using a rectangle die, I coloured the cloud embossing folder with memento sky blue ink  pad, and put my piece of card in between the embossing folder and rang it through my spellbinders machine to emboss it. The love die is from Sizzix..
